Perched on the mountainside just outside of the historic town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Llechwedd Glamping offers a unique retreat surrounded by the dramatic Moelwynion mountains and the remnants of the historic quarry industry. Our well-equipped glamping tents provide a cosy base camp with sweeping views of the historic slate quarries, Zip World, and the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains, making it the perfect starting point for your next adventure.

FAQs

HOW DO I CHECK IN?
To check into Llechwedd Glamping Tents, please visit the Glamping Reception office. We offer assisted check-in before 6pm, where we will give you and your luggage a lift to your tent. Please do not drive up the hill to your tent yourself. If you plan to arrive after 6pm, please let us know and we’ll give you self check-in instructions. This will involve walking up the hill to your tent.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT?
Guests may check into Llechwedd Glamping Tents with assistance from 3pm- 6pm. After 6pm there is a self check-in process. Please let reception know if you plan to arrive after 6pm. Check-out is at 10am, and we will assist you with a lift down the hill.

HOW FAR IS THE CAR PARK FROM THE TENTS?
The car park isn’t far but is on a rather steep hill. It will take about 5-10 minutes to walk from your car to the tent.

ARE DOGS WELCOME?
We are a dog-friendly accommodation. The fee for bringing a dog is £20 to cover the extra cleaning charges.

DO YOU PROVIDE TOWELS AND BEDDING
Yes, we provide all bedding and towels.

IS THERE A SAUNA?
No, the sauna is only available for Barlwyd Off-Grid Shepherd’s Hut guest.

IS THERE A KITCHEN?
Llechwedd Tents have kitchenettes which include a fridge with mini-freezer, a microwave, single electric hob, an electric kettle, frying pan, saucepan, pyrex dishes, plates, cups, mugs, wooden spoons, cutlery, knives, a wine opener, tin opener, charcoal BBQ, BBQ utensils & lighter or matches. We provide salt & pepper, sugar, tea, instant coffee and milk.

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING?
If you plan to cook, you may want to bring cooking oil along with the food you’d like to cook and charcoal for the BBQ.

We recommend bringing sturdy hiking shoes, waterproofs & warm layers.

DO YOU HAVE ANY EXTRAS FOR SALE?
Once you make your booking, you’ll be sent a link to purchase extra logs & kindling, balloons, flowers, drinks, BBQ packs, pizza kits, charcoal etc.
